ABOUT THE ROLE
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team at Marcliffe as a part time Finance Administrator. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in finance within a dynamic hospitality environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel while gaining hands-on experience across core finance functions including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with our “recipe for success” — empowering people, delivering excellence in service, strengthening infrastructure, and optimising operations — your responsibilities will include:
Processing invoices, payments, and expense claims
Supporting daily revenue audits and financial reporting
Maintaining and reconciling petty cash and bank statements
Inputting financial data into accounting and property management systems
Assisting with monthly financial reports and end-of-period processes
Managing and filing financial records and documentation
Communicating with suppliers and internal departments regarding finance queries
Issuing accurate and timely customer invoices
Monitoring debtor accounts and following up on outstanding balances
Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
Analysing weekly event profitability
Monitoring food & beverage costs against budget targets
Collaborating with the Food & Beverage team on pricing strategies
Identifying opportunities to improve finance systems and processes
Assisting with ad-hoc finance tasks and projects
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Basic understanding of financial systems and processes
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Previous administrative experience (essential)
Basic understanding of finance/accounts functions (desirable)
